Kaia's Quest

==Sunday Evening on the US East Coast... we arrived home at 0230 Sunday AM from Guangzhou, 4 hours via air to Seoul and 13 hours via air to JFK, then 4.5 hours from JFK to home - total trip time door to door a nice even 30 hours. Ack. Joey's Limousine from Worcester picked us up at JFK and were we ever glad to see that van... we were a bit frayed after the long flight and immigration/customs processing. Lil Miss Kaia Jade Fu Li "Qian-Qian" and the boys had a restless flight with not a lot of sleep - thus neither did we - but they all picked up a bit after a stop at a Connecticut McDonalds. Go figure. Finally got everyone cleaned, fed, and in bed by about 0500. Lots of well-wishers touching base this AM, but warnings of expected phone calls or visits from WBZ and the Boston Globe have so far not proven out. The Globe was to meet the Boston-bound folks at Logan last night, no idea how that went. So far the homecoming has been a great success; Kaia has been playing with toys and generally looking a bit wide-eyed at the cats, house and yard, but doesn't seem fazed - and the best news is, no sneezing! (We were concerned about possible allergies.) All of us are a bit lagged one way or another; kids all slept major parts of the day. Still unpacking. Thanks to all for all the great food!
